From 23rd - 26th May 2009, at the National Convention Center, Hanoi, Vietnam, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam in co-ordination with the Asia – Europe Foundation will organize the Photography Exhibition under the theme "Creative Economies" of the Asia – Europe Emerging Photographers' Forum 2009. This exhibition is a sideline event of the 9th ASEM Foreign Ministers' Meeting (FMM 9) which will be held in Hanoi from 25th to 26th May 2009.

Nearly 40 pictures with the size of 41cm x 61 cm made by 23 Asia – Europe emerging photographers to be displayed in the Exhibition portray different  views on economics in Asia and Europe through different shooting angles, layouts and contents of the pictures. The exhibited pictures will open different spaces of imagination, metaphors, fictions, reality and prospects of economies in the context of the current economic crisis. The photo exhibition also shows the diversity which could be brought about by the arts of photography, thus contributing to promote future visions and to overcome global financial instability.

In this spirit, the exhibition will make a worthy contribution to highlight the theme "Forging a Closer Asia – Europe Partnership to Address the Financial and Economic Crisis and Other Global Challenges" of FMM 9.
