Senior officials from 45 members of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) met in Hanoi on May 24 to prepare for the 9th ASEM Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (FMM 9) slated for May 25-26.

The participants discussed and agreed upon a wide range of issues that will be tabled for discussion at FMM 9, and FMM 9’s agenda as well as draft documents to be adopted at meeting.

Head of SOM ASEM Vietnam Truong Trieu Duong, who chaired the SOM, applauded cooperation and coordination of the members to fulfill the documents for FMM 9.

The delegates praised Vietnam’s thorough preparations for FMM 9, and expressed belief that the meeting would be successful./.
